If your slide is not locking back after the last round, you are touching the slide lock release button while firing. Move your right thumb over your left thumb ( you must be right handed I believe...) Just like my Sig p239 in this respect. Try this with an empty magazine. I was surprised how little pressure it takes to keep the slide from locking back. cheers!
Thanks for the article...you had a MUCH better suggestion to stripping the gun than the gun store. They had me sticking my finger in the chamber (ouch). I just got mine yesterday and haven\'t had the chance to shoot it yet. Had a PPK before and had some trouble with it, replaced it with the PPS. I\'m curious to see what the difference is on the recoil. Not too worried since I\'m not one to baulk at recoil, I shoot a .45 cal with no problem. Thanks also for the holster help, that\'s what led me to your article. Best wishes! (oh, and I don\'t think it\'s ugly, I find it quite sexy)
After firing about 150 rounds through my new .40 PPS and carrying it concealed I\'m thrilled with it, and for me it\'s the perfect concealed carry. The smaller back strap is a god send for my small hands and no way is this beauty ugly.......
.40 Nice to carry, Powerful and accurate. I fired 115 rounds through mine the first outing and no FTF\'s. This is my new CCW. You\'ll know you had thunder in your hand after a good range session. She barks hard! The ambi mag release takes some getting used to, but works well. I find that using my right pointing finger works best. Sexy Sexy Sexy. Definitely not ugly!!
I\'ve been carrying the PPS in 9mm for a month now. It\'s a great conceal carry gun, very thin and comfortable to wear. I\'m impressed with the accuracy. Also impressed that I\'ve not had a single fail in about 500 rounds and Ive shot all kinds of different ammo through it. I don\'t think it\'s ugly either, it\'s down right sexy imo, haha.
My only complaint is I haven\'t been able to get extra mags for it. All backordered although expected in this week, I hope.
The "magazine problem": My guess is that the misfeed is caused by the same problem the Kahr PM9 suffers. Geometrically, it is impossible to stack 9mm rounds in a straight line and keep them supported and stable. Walther and Kahr should examine using curved magazines on future models.
In regard to the misfiring a.k.a. the suspected "magazine problem":

Well done. Ugly is relative however. I think this pistol is very attractive as guns go. Thanks very much for the article.

I have one of these in 9mm. Great for concealment, but I concur with your comment abt availability of holsters. I hope it gets better.

I have a pps in .40 cal. I have found a great belt holster from DeSantis. The Glock 36 DeSantis leather holster fits darn near perfect.

I have the 40 cal and the first three shots I fired at 15 yards made two holes. Outstanding accuracy for size and weight. Love it.

Outstanding carry gun. Very slim and very accurate. Breaks down in seconds like a glock. Feels great in the hand.

If you are looking for a good holster, I recommend CrossBreed Holsters. I got the tuckable, IWB holster and it is great.
