I have studied your outstanding article on the 6.5 Grendel GDMR and am waiting for an Alexander Arms catalog, prior to ordering one. I have a question regarding scopes for that rifle. I am considering either the Nightforce NXS 5.5-22 x55 ZeroStop NP-R2, versus the Leupold Mark 4 6.5-20x50 with illuminated mil dot reticle.
I would really value your input on which scope would be the best, as they both represent a significant investment, and I\'d like to it right the first time. Can you help? Thank you.

  2. A while back I pawned the only guns I have ever owned. Some were fairly expensive and not replaceable. The next gun I buy will be my only gun for a while, and I want something I use for all needs. Home defense, hunting, target work, varminting. My brother, who is retired Army, says that the Grendel is a great round. Believe that for an indecisive person like me, the AR-15 is a great platform to buy. What do you think?

  4. I own a 20" grendel with the NXS 5.5-22x56. I strongly recommend a larue extended mount to compensate for the long NXS. .3" at 150, .7" at 225, 1.5" at 400 on hand loads. I largely credit this to the exceptional glass in the nightforce.
